Thanks, TDR Staff

Paintball Anyone?

Is this a good $$$$$ on a SNOWCAT

I think I was along the lines of rubberneck. Was looking for "STUFF" to do to the truck and I think I found it on Google. I was looking at Banks at the time. I lurked for about a week or two, then figured that the "search" option would be worth $35! Boy howdy, was I right! I didn't know squat about my truck. Now I know just a little more than squat! :-laf

WOW .

Old Thread Blast from the past. Bob great post! To all our departed members Merry christmas!

I found the TDR back in 00 when I bought the truck. In the back of the MANUAL in the glove box there it was ... the TDR "The #1 resource for dodge/ cummins turbodiesel information " right there in the kit. So I lurked and finally signed up.

I first heard about TDR back in 1999 when I was with my dad at an auction up in Minnesota and a TDR (don't know who it was but they had a sweet intense blue quadcab) came up and started talking to dad and I about TDR. At the time we didn't have a computer at the farm so we never looked into it further, but I'll never forget how the guy bragged about the site and the members and showed us all the cool things he had already modified. He had full guages, and Edge chip, 4" exhaust, and a jake brake, as well as more that I can't remember. Dad had some Banks items on his truck and the guy told dad how much everyone on TDR disliked Banks because of prices. When my dad died in the spring of 2000 I bought his last truck from his estate. I had always been a Chevy guy until I bought his truck and after that I gave my wife the Chevy truck I had but it didn't take her long to trade it for a Jeep. Since then I have been wrenching and fixing Dodge crap around my powerhouse and have bought and sold about 50 Dodge Cummins trucks and I ALWAYS make sure to tell the buyer about TDR. I lurked around the site since about 2000 as a guest and became a member after I was driving down the interstate in Illinois and got my arse waxed by another Cummins truck... joined just to see if I could figure out who it was, but never did yet, and I will say it's the best money I have ever spent as well. I always send in for the test drive now when someone buys a truck from me after I brag up how informative the site is. I hope my efforts are paying off!

i found tdr while researching a possible repower of a m715 with a 5. 9 a couple years ago and lurked till i decided to buy a ram a few months ago and joined

Too bad Dodge doesn't bother to mention the TDR in their print ads or manuals anymore. A real shame.

Did TDR pay for that advertising? If not, I assume that's why they no longer bother to print it.

P. S. - I think I learned about it from Cummins.com.

When I became interested in owning a diesel pickup, a friend of mine who BTW owns a Dodge Cummins, talked with me about TDR and all the information I could learn from it. He hasn't an online connection to TDR, rather he enjoys the magazine and that's how it all began.

Love my truck and love TDR.

A few years ago there was a site called "Happy Campers", it has since changed it's name, used to go there a lot and saw posts from some folks who were already here, HVAC for one, someone referred me to this site from there. bg

"Trailer Boats" magazine has a "tow car" section. Somebody asked a question about a Dodge with a CTD & they refered him here. Thought I`d give it a look. Thanks TDR for the best site on the web.

I pulled into the Texaco for coffee. There was a white dually with a Mag-Hytec rear diff cover there so I asked him where he got it. Gary pulled out a TDR magazine & gave it to me. That was in Oct. of 1999.

Gary introduced me to Frank & we've been in touch ever since. Sure have met a lot of fine folks due to the TDR.

My neighbor and good friend Garnet Simms got me to join even before I purchased the truck. Haven't been able to get anything done since.

TDR-How I got it and much more!

That part of my brain no longer functions; a short circuit, I believe. I do believe it was through the website while I was browsing for information on the Cummins/Dodge! Now, my question is- Why don't all dealerships participate in spreading the TDR word to their customers/prospects? It can only be a benefit to each and every dealership, as well as to each customer/prospect. Or is it, they are afraid that customer/ prospect will not want to return to their dealership for required service/repairs? Or is it, they are cautioned by their lawyers that by endorsing said TDR that they could be held liable for whatever that customer/owner does or does not do to his/her Dodge Turbo Diesel Cummins. " YOU ARE YOUR OWN WARRANTY STATION . " Liability is a key word that everyone dreads today. However, comma, if each would offer seminars to their prospective owners/owners; that could, should and would reduce this likelyhood to a drip. There will always be that one who will try to get past being his/her own warranty station. Ah, life should be so easy. My thoughts only- ROBriney.

My mechanic at the dealership I bought my first truck from told me about it.

The TDR and Genos Garage are a nice asset to us.

It's been a downhill slide ever since :-laf

I found out about the TDR from my late uncle in 95 or 96 he was a member then and after looking at one of his mags I joined for the magazine and had to wait some time to get a computer to get on the net.
