How do I adjust the idle?

I have a 98 Quad Cab 12V, it has 76,000 Miles on it and I bought it new. The Truck has a problem starting in the morning and once It's started it runs great with no problems after the first start. I think that the idle is too low, any ideas on ho wto turn up the idle? Any other ideas on why it could be hard starting for the first start in the AM. Thanks for all your help.

At the rear of the injection pump (close to the firewall) there is a bolt that sets the travel of the linkage. (an idle stop) It takes a 10mm wrench if I remember right. You might have to move the linkage and try to feel what it hits. It's a tough spot to see down into, but with the linkage at WOT you can catch a glimse of it.

For the hard starting, you may be due for a fuel line change. They begin to crack and leak fuel as they get older. That allows air into the system which causes the hard starting. Do a search on leaking fuel lines and replacement suggestions.
