yep. . get a wide stone chisel and a malot/sledge and lightly tap it to score the surface. then give 'er a real good hit. if the score is good and the chisel is wide enough, it will crack right in half. . you can also use a masonary cutoff wheel in an angle grinder or circular saw. but either way WEAR SAFETY GLASSES. you don't want a piece of stone flying in your eye. .

If you want a real nice edge get a 4" grinder diamond blade (approx $35) Cuts cast stone like butter for a while. If you're in a hurry use Bill's method - use a cheap mason blade to score a groove and finish the job by setting a chisel in the groove and give it a wack with a heavy hammer.
