I see at 20,000 Mile recommended maintenance schedule that I should change my cab air filter . How do I know if my model has one ?

Empty and open your lower glove box. You will see the tabs on each side holding it in. Pull in slightly on them so the door and box will come out. Look up under the dash where the door was. You will see where the filter goes or could go. If you don't have one, you can order a kit to add it.

Your 2018 will indeed have a cabin air filter. My lowly 2018 RAM 4500 Tradesman has one. I always use a FreshBreeze # CF11671

Any idea

. Any idea how often it should be changed ? With 20,000 miles on it in 2 plus years you can see it doesn't get used much , I mainly use it to pull my fifth wheel camper .

my 18 2500 cabin air filter was disgusting at 23,000. im a carpenter, lots of sawdust, and live on a dirt road. they are super cheap. just change it. better airflow. cheers comrade!

To my surprise my 18 3500 tradesman came with the filter. I was planning to buy the kit to add one. I looked to see how much of a job it was going to be, and there was a cover. I thought sweet, I removed the cover to find a filter too. Glad I discovered that or i'd of bought the kit.

Yep , not sure what I would do without the great people on on this site , I suppose I could pay someone to do it for me , and over charge me for it . A simple flick of a small screw driver and door popped open . Picture doesn't show it , but a lot of crud in the bottom of the pleats . Thanks again , you guys are the best .

That one is clean compared to the one from my 2013 Dodge Dart that I bought used July 4th, 2019. Apparently it had NEVER been changed.....although the CARFAX showed great maintenance otherwise.

Attached are a few pictures for The Laugh Of The Day.
