Here I am

How do I put a link in a post?

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

It's easy. . just open the post, site, page, whatever it is you want to link to, and copy all the text in the Address bar, including the "http" part, and paste it in your posting where you want the link.

Down at the bottom of the text area is an option that says "Automatically parse URLs:" Make sure it's checked.

The Board's software creates the link all by itself from what you entered.

Hmmm... the imprecise use of the language has all sorts of wacked out results...

This is what is converted to a link:

or this:

www.nwbombers.com

Basically any fully qualified domain name (three parts, separated by periods and ending in com net org or other common suffix) will be parsed into a link.

(I disabled url parsing, so these would show without being links)

Ken, come on you knew it would do that.

It was nice with the old TDR site, it allowed you to click edit on any post and see how a link, picture, smile, icon. etc was written, you couldn't edit someone else's post though (that could be fun, ehh). I'll bet the new system has the same capability, it just isn't turned on.
