I have the 2. 5" skyjackers with 315's Procomp MT on stock rims and am looking for a way to stop tire rub without going higher. Only thing I can think might work is different control arms, especially lower where it is rubbing now, but want to make sure so I don't waste good $$ that I could spend on much needed transmission parts. Thanks.

Have you considered a different offset on the wheels? Less offset will move the wheels outboard on the truck. But you gotta be careful not to move them too far out or you'll rub fender liners or worse, prematurely wear out bearings.

Or, the cheapest of all fixes, simply quit turning just before the rubbing begins. That's what I did on my 1500 that rubbed.

Longer control arms will center the axle in the wheelwells giving you the most clearance you are going to get without going higher with the truck. Try skyjacker or rancho for some good tubular arms with poly bushings. It will aslo tighten up the driving characteristics of the truck to make up for some of the sidewall flex of the big tires. Hope this helps.

Adjust the steering stops so they bottom before the tires rub the control arm. I have the same problem but I don't run any lift. Somebody said a 2 1/2" lift cured the control arm rubbing but I just don't see how unless the control arms are bent to clear the tire.
