How do increase Max. RPM on 2001?

The 24 valve engines are governed at 3400rpm, they totally defuel at 3500. When I dynoed last week it pulled strong to 3200rpm then the HP and torque began to fall off rapidly. Drops to nothing at 3500. There is no need to rev beyond 3200-3300, there is nothing to gain. The only way to rev past this is to downshift too far and let the clutch out. Bad thing to do!

These engines aren't supposed to turn at 4000 rpm. If you want high rpm's go with a gasser not diesel. Someone posted not that long ago that destructive harmonics occurred at 4100 rpm( I think) and rod and crank failure at 5400 rpm. You're just asking for trouble at very high rpm's
