Is there a way to tell/feel if an auto trans is slipping? It doesnt seem to me like mine slips, but I am leary of adding any other mods.

CUrrently I only have a DD TTPM, and a Scotty II. I would like a add a j-hook/turnbuckle to the wastgate to maximize the TTPM and possibly lower my EGTs a little. I would also like to add injectors, but would go pretty mild, like 275RV's. I would also like to go to a 4 inch exhaust.

The added power makes me worried about killing the trans. I keep up on my maintance good so it always has fresh fluid and filter at 15K intervals.

Any info or shadetree mechanic tricks would be appreciated.

I would love to go to a DTT or similar trans and be done with it, but dont have the $$$$ right now. Maybe i'll tack it on to the home improvement loan i'm gonna get HEHE.

If your transmission slipped you would know it. When the truck stops accelerating and the rpm's rise, then you're in trouble. With the mods that you listed the transmission will definitely not be as happy as before. I'd go for an extra $6,000 on the home improvement loan and call it a day!!!
