I was wondering what is the easiest way to check the ball joints on an '06 what are you looking for to determine the joint is tight, also is anyone makeing an after market greaseable ball joint for 3rd gens yet??

The kit that quad 4x4 sells is greasable. I just ordered the kit. Anyone no where to get a ball joint tool that will fit a dodge CHEAP! Maby even rent one?

The correct way is to use a dial indicator on the end of the ball joint. Then pry the wheel with a pry bar. <0. 020" movement is within spec.

I think most people around here just pry up the bottom of the tire with a crowbar and watch for any vertical movement of the wheel.
