I pulled up next to a Grand National, the other day. A young guy was driving so I knew he would show off. I reved the Cummins a little and when the light went green I gave it a little throttle before I let out the clutch. (I always let the clutch engage fully then hit the throttle, always have on my Dodges. ) It started hopping, so I let off the gas, and just drove normal. The Buick was long gone. I am no racer and don't intend to be, I just want some pointers for leaving quicker than normal.
