Where we live there are many unpaved and sort-of-paved roads. I am constantly cleaning the truck- the price I pay for living where I do.

But below the doors really takes a beating. Thought of getting spray on bedliner material below the fold in the sheetmetal, but that won't keep it clean.

Anyone else use good mudflaps front and rear? Or solid running boards instead of "nerf bar" steps. Or... ... . ?

If you have something that works for you like GOOD mudflaps or running boards, where did you get them? The auto stores around here have a really poor selection next to the steering wheel covers and air fresheners.

Thanks,

John

I have the Mopar mudflaps on mine. I extended the fronts about 4" with some plastic I cut off of a 30gal barrel. Works relatively good. Full length running boards work the best. Dad has a set on his '03 and he loves 'em.

I know a guy in my area, he's got one of those gawdy lifted Superdutys with the 22" off road tires etc... Anyhow this fellow has more money than he knows what to do with, he had that Lexan or clear-bra material, the stuff they put on the front of Porsche's and Corvettes etc. . Ayhow he had it doon on the edge of the hood, front fenders and rockers all the way back. It cost about $800 for the whole thing, but you can't see it unless you are 6" away from it and it does a great job of keeping the area clear of rock chips. I don't know where he got it, I thank some guy came out to his house and installed it?

Hey John-

  • Flat "non molded" DC Flaps
  • ATS Flairs
  • Wheels with correct or "close to" correct offset

Thats what does it for me.
