How do you post a poll?

I think when you start a new thread, there's a checkbox (can't remember if it's at the top or bottom) that you check to create a poll and the different options.

I'm doing something wrong. When I get the bottom where I check the box for "create poll", I dont see any options.

You check the box to create a poll and choose the number of options. (answers) I think in the next step you name the possible answers.
