I am having a problem with my door lock switch not unlocking, how do you get the panel off, do you need one of those fork pribar things, or should I just have the dealer do it friday when I am there?

Sorry wrong topic section, can't figure out how to move it.

Door locks

From the sound, you have electric door locks. If this is the case and the key will still lock the door, I'd let the dealer deal with it Fri. To answer the rest of your question, not you don't need the forked tool to remover the door panel, but it is easier. A screw driver will work. Just take the screws out of the inside door handle cup, then with a screw driver, start at a bottom corner and pry the cover out, when you can get a couple of fingers under the cover pull at the plastic fastners to remove. Your truck is new enough you should be able to re-use the fastners. What you don't want to do is break off the retainers that are moulded into the panel. Didn't check your location, but if it is cold, below 50 degrees F. the plastic will become brittle.

Just checked your location, think you better warm everything up before operating!

Most of the time the clips will break - even when using the correc tool!

I'd just wait and let the dealer worry about it.

When installing my PowerVision mirrors, I picked up one of the flat, forked trim removal tools at NAPA and some extra trim clips at my friendly Dodge stealer (NAPA can get them but didn't have them in stock). It worked pretty well, but those clips can be contrary!

A thin pry bar works. I wrapped tape around it so it won't scratch the paint! I think there was some screws around the handle area - not really hidden.
