How do you remove throttle cable from ball stud???

I need to remove the throttle cable sometime on my 92 in the near future and do some work on the pump linkage. I took a look at the throttle cable where it attaches onto the ball stud and I'm wondering how to remove it. Do you pull it over the ball or what?????



Any information will be appreciated before I ruin the cable by not knowing.

Just had mine apart, and yes, it pulls up over the ball.
