I got stuck!

Good fuel price @ Tacoma Flying J

What are some of the things I should be carefull about to protect my injection pump and injectors from premature failure?

Doc

DO NOT run ethanol (biodiesel) at all.

and use a lubricity improver of your choice, at each fillup. take care of the lift pump. and all should be fine.

by using the stock lift pump and no FP gauge ,not changing the fuel filter at all and thinking that all is well :D

IMHO i think that that will take care of the injector pump and injectors.

Todd, like to know where you got your info. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using biodiesel. Biodiesel and ethanol are two entirely different things. Ethanol is an alcohol made from renewable resources like corn and wheat. As far as I know no one has been stupid enough to even consider adding ethanol to diesel, it is a long well known fact that alcohol is harmful to a diesel fuel system. Biodiesel can be made from a variety of products, including animal fats and virgin and recycled vegetable oils derived from crops such as soybeans, canola, corn and sunflowers. Read more about the different products here, http://www.ethanol-crfa.ca/glossary.htm

Bill,

I did read about ethanol added to diesel fuel somewhere, there were even some pumps with it in use.

I don't know if the Bosch report was on the same page, but they say BAD, BAD, BAD!!!!!!

Bill,

I know what you mean. Corn is great for the gassers, need to stick with soybeans for the diesels:D

Either way, it's win win for the farmers.
