How do you tell the difference 04 or04 half?

I have a 2004 and how do you tell from 04 and a half?I have the sheet that was on the window and a two wheel drive dually that had a sticker $44,285

On the drivers side of the engine there should be a plate just behind the belts on the timming cover. It should state if you have 305 hp or 325hp.

Well It has a cat's but I looked for that plate with no luck finding that. I have the 5. 9L Cummins HO Turbo Diesel and The 600 Turbo Diese. whatever that means on the window sheet. Does that help?????

yup, i am pretty sure 04. 5 and very early 05's were the 600's

if it says 600 thats the torque & it's a 2004. 5 the 2004's were 580 torque.

Well, you're half right. The early 04. 5's were 600 tq, but the 04 HO was 305hp/555tq.



04. 5 and up radiator fan shrouds are connected to the engine, instead of the radiator.



Also, if the radiator overflow bottle is on the passenger side firewall, it's an 04. 5. On the 04's, it's between the radiator and the left headlight, with the windshield washer bottle.
