Let me restate my question so that my ignorance is hanging out! Does the 03 HO 3rd generation rail injection system need a lift pump to satisfy its flow requirements other than prime? I was under the impression that the lift pump was just a primer and the injection pump took care of all of the suction requirements? Everybody is installing fuel press guages like on the 01 I had and is concerned about fuel pressure all over again. Do you mean that the nightmare is still going on so"where is Freddy Kruger"? But now the I read a thread that the fuel pressure goes to zero at WOT with even slight bombing like an EZ edge and the truck just dies. Everybody is saying that we need added fuel lift pumps to keep us running because the lift pumps are failing on the 3rd generation trucks. So I am out here looking for a solution for a problem that I really don't understand. Is it because that if a liftpump on an 03 HO goes out that it blocks the flow path or what? Can somebody "please" explain to me what is going on here and how the system works?

Thanks Kimber! Now I am ready for action. I really appreciate you guys helping and TDR is great. Can you imagine what life would be like without TDR? Great stuff!
