Forgive me but this is all new to me . Got a email today 11 450 miles All 4 tire pressures 42percent oil life remaining no recalls. They changed the oil at 3 k free my oil and filter so they have that in the computer for sure . Do they know when the fuel filters are replaced or need replacing. Truck was delivered November 5 2021 . How far passed this can I go on one year oil service and fuel filters. When does it void the warranty etc. it’s all very confusing to me.what if a Indy does the work. Will he reset the computer. I assume they even know where the truck is. It’s all kinda of creepy. Can this be turned off ? Hope this starts a good discussion. I can’t be the only old guy that doesn’t understand this. My wife gets a see dealer on the dash for her Lexus calls them for a appointment takes it in gets a loaner car picks it up and is done. Simple for her not for me. I m over thinking it I suppose

So what do they know about my truck how fast it’s been driven idle time pretty much everything I guess
If you had Uconnect set up on your truck, the cloud/dealer possibly knows more about your truck than you do. Maybe get used to it, I still get oil change and warranty reminders on trucks I haven't owned in over a decade.

Tire pressures are a mess but it swings so much this time of year it was like 30's then almost 80's this week.

They know pretty much everything on these things.

Don't all vehicles have black box recorders of sorts tracking telemetrics of pretty much amything? They just are not published info.

For.example reset your oil minder with out opening up the hood, good luck.

Was at the grocery store with the kids and trying to manage them and self check out and screwed some scan up, person came over and now they are running play by play payback, it shows a short video of you doing it wrong so they can see what the issue is with the scanning. Skip a scan, place something in the bagging area, no more just saying somethings wrong it shows the video.

It's probably all on the back of the receipt terms and conditions.

Same with everything I'm sure we have all agreed to tracking in the T&C's.

The U-Connect system allows them to send reminders of services that are needed and if you're not following the O/M interval for required maintenance, could deny you warranty service! With the ease and convenience of having an app tell you about your truck, they also know about your truck! Just saying.

Everything folks said above, but I doubt anyone would deny warranty based the info transmitted from the truck. You can reset oil and fuel filter to 100% every day if you want.

I believe this is the future on all vehicles. My wife's 2021, Hyundai has the same thing both I and the dealer can check the status of the car on the internet. Also, if we sign up for a certain feature in the reporting app on the car status, my insurance company would be notified of our driving habits and how many miles a month we drive. No Way!

One thing that drives my wife nuts is the e-mail every day or twice a day telling her that the car doors are not lock. She say's why lock the doors when the car sits in the garage with the garage door down!

My wife’s car does the same thing window down etc in the garage My insurance company State Farm gives you a little device you put on your visor that’s paired to a app on your phone etc. miles driven where the car is etc . We now have sos on our trucks. I hit the button on the overhead looking for the light and a lady called me to see if I was ok . On the news there was a story about soon in the future your car will not be allowed to exceed the posted speed limit.. I’m glad I will be gone before that happens. The world has changed

when I park in my shop, it cannot get reception so I guess that's my way to keep big sister from checking my filter life... (LOL) I did laugh though early on before I figured out how they were getting it and sending me invitations to bring it in for service.. seemed at that time like they had a really good algorithm or a psychic.
