its amazing how I can use the the windows 7 the same internet explorer many of the way their screen looks is different than mine, crazy, I turned off my firewall and that got me to the point where I open 7 zip I click on the file that has the actual update, I highlight it then hit extract, my screen comes up with extract to instead of copy to like the video has, and it says extract to and the same program I tried to extract. then I get an error message that says cannot open file as archive. so I manually change it to extract to the smarty file same error message, then I manually hit copy to, then it says it cannot copy onto itself. has anyone that is not a computer geek managed to pull this off???
CC. . If you haven't solved your download problem yet you can send your unit to Bob Wagner and he'll do the update for you... . no charge... . just postage.

I'am not very computer savey . Bryan howell at diesel performance parts just updated my smarty jr. Every time i deal with DPP (bryan howell) i feel like they really know what custumer service is all about! Thanks Bryan !

I second that; Let me throw Josh's name out there too!

FYI, had no problems programming the ECM w/the new installed Smarty updates w/o setting the SW# back to stock. Not sure that it is recommended, but I didnt have any issues.

Bryan is a great guy. Its no problem going from software to software without going back to stock , even if you update your smarty to a new release.
