My buddy with a 95 is looking to repaint his truck but when he gets done, he wants to leave the trim on the side of the truck off. Is it held on with metal studs that go through the body panel or is it just held on w/ double sided tape?
3-M has product just for this,it works very good and doesn`t bother the paint underneath. mechanically removing the trim ,say with dental floss or fishing line works ok ,but then you have to go back and work like the devil to rub the glue off. very min. work to get remaining residual glue that is left behind after the spray on 3-M Good luck
Is this also how the large piece of black plastic covering the bottom half of the tailgate is held on? It looks out of place since we added white taillight covers.
