how long after order for VON to show up on the Insight Network?

ordered a truck last week and was wondering how long it will take for the VON to show up on the Insight Network. been looking daily and no trace of it yet. will be kinda cool when it does show up so i can see what is happening with it.

I ordered 2/28 and have yet to see my VON or VIN show up on Insight. My inpression is that your vehicle will shop up on Insight once your order goes "D1" and you get a build date. This may be wrong. .



BTW- as a reference point, I ordered almost exactly the same configuration as you- minus the sport package.

Mine showed up on the insight network a day or two after it went D1, at which point you will also have a VIN number. I ordered 02/11 and it went D1 on 03/12 but that was in the middle of the 6 speed shortage.

Hmmm, that was two questions. By the way we ordered on 02/02/04 and still don't have a build date. We're getting the auto trans, which probably has something to do with it. Jim

I ordered on 2/4 and it had a von immediately at the dealer. It went D1 on 3/16.

ordered 2-16 got VON right away, but didn't appear on insight until 3-11 when I got D1, I got my VIN from the DC 1-800 number about three or four days before that (3-8 I think), but insight showed nothing at that time. Even at D1 insight didn't tell me anything other than D1 3-11-04. When I got KZ yesterday is when it FINALLY gave me an ETA and started showing any kind of progress. If you want to see where your paperwork is call the 800 number to hear them talk you through all the B's-C-D, then insight can take over at D1.

I orderd mine on 2-16 and was given a von then. It has not shown up on Insight. Dodge has a lot of room for improvement in this area. They must have list that all of the trucks are on and you go D1 when your turn comes up. I would think that would be determined from the date and time of the purchase. If they do not improve in this area I will not be ordering again.

I ordered mine on 3/17 so i guess i have some waiting. I am not in a real hurry for the truck but thought it would be cool to watch the process on the computer... if it is accurate.

got D-1 status today with a scheduled build date of 3/25... that's today



going to be painful to watch it sit in a lot of on a train for a month

Gary, there are other factors in determining the build date like dealer allotment, and restrictions.

I am awaiting my first 04 HO. I have been reading about the Insight? How do I get a logon to check the status of my order? Should the salesperson at the dealership know about this? My order was placed 3-7 at Lincoln RI 5star dealership. I received my VIN a few days ago. Any help is appreciated. I am verrrry anxious to get my new Truck.

On the first page you have two options on the left, go to Dealer Login and enter the dealer number which is a five digit code on your order sheet to the left of your VON number. (ex. Sold Dealer: XXXXX) Then you will get the screen where you pick to lookup by vin, von or dealer.



I spoke with a csr the other day about the accuracy of the system and was told it only updates every 3 days.

Thanks!!! This is all I needed to get on the site. Awesome. . The salesperson did not have a clue what I was asking about. The numbers were right in front of me on my order sheet as you stated. My Truck was scheduled to be built last Friday. 4-2-04

Are there and documents explaining the different codes they have? D1?



Any idea how they will get the vehicle from Saltillo to Rhode Island? Train? Ship?

Just a quick update. . my VIN finally appeared on Insight today and my truck went D1 today, 4/7. I placed my order 2/28 so this is almost 6 weeks! Luckily I'm patient

Congratulations. When mine was finally on the railcar, it would be updated seemingly within just a few hours of passing this point or that. I waited 9 weeks for mine to get here. Once it does, you will join the oil burners, and it is great. Went a couple months without and I really missed burning oil, and yes I know I am spoiled ;-)
