121,980 miles on my HY35 and there is a little bit of play but nothing to major yet

roughly 12,000 miles before it was swapped out! For a higher flowing turbo :-laf :-laf

140k on my hy and it was still fine. Just swapped it out for a Piers massaged hy.

I swapped mine for a piers hybrid @ 30,000 it was a good turbo the HY, the reason I had to swap it out was that I exceeding the power for the HY and now I have the hx35-40 hybrid with 14cm wastegated housing I still have the stock one, incase something happens, ? The stock hy shold last along time, if you keep it below 300 hp :{ that is so hard to do once you have been bitten by the bug!!!!!!

I did exactly the same thing at 24,000. That little hy35 just wasn't keeping things cool enough. I think this hx 35/40/14 is just the ticket with my current mods. Now if I can just ward off that bug. :-laf

My HY with just the EZ was able to keep things alot cooler than my current setup while towing my 12K fiver!!! You can see my mods in my signature. I am currently in Seaside Oregon and in my journey up here from the Bay Area I was at 35MPH in 2nd gear at 1200 degrees pulling the grade at Mt Shasta and the Siskyous I don't get it at all, I have read here that my mods should put me right at the best towing combo, this definately is not the case.

It's back to the drawing board when I get back home!!

Something doesn't seem right there. My fiver weighs 11,800 & I can pull Shasta & siskyous down to Redding & back at 45mph keeping my egt's at 1150*

I agree!!!! I should be able to do the same or better with my set up!!!

Very frustrating!
