Since I have two Rams in the house My wife's auto transmission has 125k on it, still going strong in spite of her once slamming it into reverse while traveling down the road at 35mph
My truck had 100k on the stock auto when I went in with the DTT upgrades. Still running original clutch packs although James N. did freshen up some of the other stuff in the transmission when we went in with the valve body/converter set up. Currently have 119K on the transmission now and it pulls stronger than ever.
@41,000 miles My Auto transmission internals looked like they were built the day before, according to Bill K, when he took it apart.
I had put in the DTT VB and switched to ATF + 3 @ 9,300 miles. Change interval is 12-15K, but that is overkill for me as the fluid looks like I just put it it when changed. I don't tow much + lots of Hwy driving (1K+ per WK) Traction is now my issue to solve
Mine is at 140000 ad still strong today. But what is the going aftermarket clutch for the money??? I now a new stock replacement is Around $1000 yea a little sore in the rear hehe.
My stock clutch so far has held up for 54,300 miles without slipping once. This includes 20,000+ on DD2s and 5,000+ on DD2s and CPC. It has also held with all the above plus a 4000lb boat in tow running WOT hitting the freeway onramp. I got a very good stock clutch!
