how long does it take to build a truck

it was suposed to be built on the 30th of april when should it leave the plant there is nothing in the insight saying if it sone or on hold just that there is still no eta for arrivel help it is making me crazy

When I ordered mine, I was told 6 weeks. That was about the 20th of november 01. It got to me about the 20th of march.

Ya, I was unhappy too, since the deal was to get it on 01 taxes.



But I love the truck, it was worth the wait.

It took about a week to build after D1. Seems like the wait is getting to D1, then waiting for shipping. My truck was shippable on the 7th, and hasn't left Mexico. According Insight it is about 2 weeks to get to my dealer in CA. Of course I have read about people on this site that have waited a month or more to get after build. Seems like they would try and take care of dealers/customers better. Turn their truck into their money.



Insight will tell you when its built. (KZ) Thats when you get an ETA. --mine keeps changing.

my truck has had the d1 code next to it for a week and I hope they get it rolling soon gas here is 1. 99 per gallon regular and 1. 59 diesel come on dc

ordered 12/03. D1 1/17/04, Built 1/29/04, Delivered 5/5. I'll NEVER order again. At least I got it for invoice and I got DC to give me the 0%/48mos. and $2k back. The truck is very nice, but not worth the wait.

My truck went KZ May 1 and is now (May 18) KZL status. All I want is a railcar # then I know it will be on its way. This wait is killing me and making the whole experience very frustrating. I will never order a Diesel again!

I'm very dissappointed in DC's inability to get their trucks delivered. You would think that they would get the damn trucks that are sold moving faster. I think the whole process revolves around the volume of the dealer you buy from. God help me if I ever order another one. NO truck is worth a four month wait!!!
