How long for Ultra-Lite installs????

How long is it taking you guys to put in egt. boost and Trans gauges. I was wondering because the guy doing my work is charging by the hour and this would give me a good idea of the costs involved.

i spent all day doing mine and it was just for boost/egt... but i never really do work quickly

I guess it all depends on the drilling and tapping of the exhaust manifold. whether or not the exhaust was removed or not. When i did my 97 i had grease on the drill bit and a shop vac right next to it. I could hear and feel the metal chucks in the hose. Then put a small pencil magnet through the hole but there was nothing in there. The vac and grease got it all. I'm guessing it took approx. 3hrs. I have yet to do my 03.

if it took you about three hours, was that for all three guages or just the egt? Oo.

No i'm guessing 3 hrs for all 3 gauges. That doesn't count the transmission line from a 95 installed in my 97. I had installed it a little while before the gauges, just had a plug installed in the fitting. I also like to install the plastic corogated line over the wiring and vacuum line, it looks like a factory setup.

It took me about 4-1/2 hours from start to finish but i am very picky how i ran my wires and did the drilling an tapping for the boost, egt i dropped the turbo down placed carboard between the manifold and turbo did all the drilling tapping when done blew it away with an air gun good to go no problems. p. s. put antiseize on the threads.

If he is experienced at gauge installs it should be approx 2-2. 5 hours, if not the first one he does could be as much as 4 hours.
