How long is your 3rd Gen flatbed?

I'm interested in a flatbed for my 3500 quadcab dually. I'm looking at these:

Either the SK or RS models. They are available in 8' 6", 9' and 11' lengths.

Which length can I use? Is anyone using a different brand that allows a longer flatbed?

My 2003 had an 8x8. 5' JMI flatbed on it. It works out just right. Your stock bed is 8 feet inside length, then you figure thickness of tailgate and size of bumper, and it works out to be 8. 5'. Any longer and you would hae excessive overhang on the rear and the gooseneck well may not be in the proper spot.

IMO the 9' bed works nicely. My brother has a 04. 5 with a Hillsboro 8' by 9' body. Everything lines up very well & the skirt is maybe 4 to 5 inches past the ends of the frame rails. Pro Tech makes the nicest looking (aluminum) flatbeds I've seen.
