How long must I wait??

I ordered my new ride on 12-12-03 and it was put into D1 status on 12-19-03. I received a ship date of 1-13-04. Well as of today, it is still showing in the DC database as D1 status. For those that have ordered a new one, is this normal that on the day before shipping it is still in D1 status?? It seems that either their database is not up to date or there is a delay for some reason, (which the nice lady at DC didn't know about). Of course, the ship date of 1-13-04 may not have considered the holidays. I know that in the life of this truck, another week or two is a bit insignificant but on the other hand, I WANT MY NEW RIDE!!!



Anyone else experiencing any delays?

all built orders are in "JS" status,



that is shipped to storage- (probably to wait till enough are built to release)

Call back every day or every few days-I think you will find that it probably did ship today -mine shipped 1-8-04 (as scheduled), but they did not have that info until today (1-12-04). Their system is not updated in "real time".

You've got a long road ahead of you yet. Once it hits D1, it is usually built in 10 to 14 working days. My 04 that was destroyed in shipping sat in D1 for 11 days. My order was accepted by DC on 10-17-03, D1 on 10-31, built 11-11, sat in Vera Cruz until 12-10, and arrived destroyed in Baltimore on 12-18. I'm now waiting again for the reordered 04. 5. Just be glad when it shows up at your dealer unharmed even if its 10 weeks that you have to wait.

I just checked on a friend's truck. His was ordered 12-15-03, and was shipped on 1-08-04. They didn't post the rail car number yet, but it shows that it has shipped.

Ordered on 12/3, status D on 12/15, status D1 on 12/19, status still D1 on 12/26 with a ship date of January 9th. Called today and got a status of JS, which means it is looking for a way out of Mexico!

Ordered 12/15/03, D1 status on 12/16, Scheduled to be built 1/9/04, called 11/12, JS status. Hope they put a tarp over it while it's waiting to be shippped. LOL

Thanks for all the input. I just called and found it is now in G (trim) status. Since their database may not be up to date real time, it could be already in JS waiting to ship! I sure hope they take real good care of it! They still show today as ship date.

Just got a call from my dealer today. It's built and expected delivery date to my dealer is Feb. 2 or 3rd.



By the time mine arrives, many of you will have already picked up your rigs and put a few miles on them. Can't wait to hear the first reports from 600 series owners.

I got a rail car number today. DC said it was in Texas, but when I tracked that railcar on the Union Pacific site the last update was 12/31/03 and that rail car was headed south... so hopefully they will update the status soon. My dealer told me I will get it towards the end of the month

I called DC today and found out mine was finished and shipped on the 8th instead of the 12th. He said to call back friday and I should be able to get a railcar # .

Pretty cool-you can see on a map where the railcar is, and also if it is part of a train see what cars and locomotives make up entire train. When I originally looked at mine it had 5-6 locomotives, and about 30-40 cars.
