Called again today and still can't get a build date. The csr said it went to gateline D1 on Mon. the 21st. Maybe I'm just lucky to get the ones that can't find the date. Guess I'll try again next week.

How long on ordered trucks

My order was placed on 10/9, called today and was told it's being built and will be railed out 11/8! SLT 140wb 4wd HO 6sp Atlantic Blue Sport w/leather.

Does anyone know if they do a run of swb, lwb or duallys at different times, or do they just mix them? If it is at different times, that would explain the vast differences in build times being reported here.

5 1/2 weeks from order till it got into my hands 3500 QC 4x4 LWB HO. Got the order and vin# 1 week after order and the build date all at once. It was built AND shipped on the same day 10 day travel time to PA. The waiting time will grow I'm sure as the advertizing ramps up and people outside our groups become aware of the new body style. Sure beats the 6 month wait for my 95' to be constructed

Ask your dealer to get you a build date. They should have that on their "order sheet" that gets updated 2 times a week and gives the status of all incoming ordered and force fed vehicles.

Ordered a 3500 drw quad cab ho 6 speed laramie 8/16/02 from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Just got word from tracking that it will be shipped 11/8/02

and was advised it will take about two weeks to land at the dealer after that. The wait is killing me (my original date was wrong)sorry! I guess I'm just getting excited

Based on your ship day of 10/8/02 and 2 week delivery you should of gotten it 10/22/02

Just called the dealer, being built now and said he should have it in about 3 weeks. Ordered 9-29. That would make it 7 weeks, if it gets here by then. I'll believe it when I see it.

Stopped by the dealer today to check on the status. Life has gotten much better!!! I last checked on 10/11 and it was D1 with an 11/25 date. Today it is F!! Oo. It should ship by the end of the month and I should have it by Thanksgiving instead of by Christmas. The wait is getting worse than Christmas when I was six!

10/25: Surprise! Oo. It's in "KZ" (built, released, invoiced, but not shipped yet) status.



I'd given up on having it for my deer hunting trip (Wisconsin from Florida) at Thanksgiving, but now I'll have to go back into the "praying for the slim chance" mode.

Ordered mine the first week of June. Because of the Charcoal paint delay, just picked it up last Friday. Actually arrived to CA mid October.

Called D/C this morning, got thru in about 3 minutes and they told me that my truck is in D1 and should be shipped on 11/6. Hope I can get some sleep before then Oo. I've been on tiptoes since I ordered the truck on 10/4.

Probably longer than most would guess. . Apparently, all trucks from Mexico are trucked to New Orleans, and then they're put on trains to wherever. . So yours will probably head through and out of TX, only to be put on a train or truck back to TX. Silly. .

Status

I just checked on my rig that was KZ status as of last Friday out of Mexico plant. It shows that it was trucked to Lansing Texas

over the weekend loaded on rail car TTGX978571 yesterday and

left this morning at 8:24am, and will arrive in Valjct Ill. tomorrow

morning at 10:04am. From there it goes to Warren, Mich and

trucked to my dealer in G. R. Mich. If it only takes 2 days to get

from Texas to Ill. , I hope that it doesn't take much longer after

it gets on a ramp ride. Oo. :--)
