Lots of patience. I've thought about looking for another truck on a lot, but up here I don't see many 3500 SRW's on the lots. . And none that are very close to the configuration I ordered. . So I'm just gonna go back to twiddling my thumbs. . I've also made my dealer understand that I expect the rebate, no ifs ands or buts. .

That's exactly what happened to me. Mine was BX for a month. It took a lot of yelling to get mine moved to D, and it appeared to be some sort of computer glitch or something, as my dealer did have allocation. I'd suggest getting your dealer to work his way up the chain raising hell, getting our regional/zone rep involved here made things happen.

Why the long wait ?

, Called today to check status of my new Ram. It finally has gone to D1 after nearly 8 weeks. Estimated ship date 12/04.

I expressed my disgust to the customer service rep about many others that ordered the CTD trucks AFTER I ordered have already taken delivery and want to know why mine has not been built yet.

After going into detail as to where I ordered mine from, (Mark Roberts Motors in Bartlesville, OK - @ invoice + $49) he said that the delay was because this dealer sold more Rams than the factory allotted them for the period, that each dealer is allowed only so many vehicles in a time period. That sucks as the costomer ends up getting a raw deal, but explains why some of us gets our trucks earlier/later than others.



Looks like I'll get my new CTD just in time to miss out on the $1000 rebate unless they extend it and in time to try to get a discount air fare from Nashville to Oklahoma around Christmas holidays. What a deal!!!!!!!! :{

Oh well, maybe we will have more positive info. on installing my 20K model 5th wheel hitch by then and the exaust brake may be available.

Mine was ordered about the same date. Been built for 2 weeks and still sitting in Mexico. I guess they are trying to teach it Spanish.

Took delivery today, I had them put on the matching running boards from MOPAR and they look great to me. I am very impressed with the way this truck is put together. I am more impressed with the way it drives and the power, it is one sweet truck that 6 speed is a real dream, very easy to shift. I would have liked to have driven some more today, but it is raining out and my hands are still shaking from writting out the check. It would have been seven weeks monday from the day the truck was ordered. I don't know if it is appropriate to plug a dealership or not but Bolles CDJ in Union, Connecticut are absolutely the best folks I've ever dealt with.

I ordered my truck on the 29th of September. The truck was assembled on the 5th of November at 10:00 AM, and shipped that day. Took delivery on the 20th of November, and had it Rhino'd. Installed Nerf bar running boards, fender well inserts, and wheel well stainless moldings.



The truck is absolutely super!! Fit, finish and overall quality is top notch! Truck rides, drives and handles like a dream. Seats are very comfortable as well.

John B. I had my old e-mail address on the reply, changed it and got booted off the forum temporaraly, had to verify the address, so we are all set now. Amsoil man, our trucks must be littermates (does that meake me your uncle?! ) Mine was built the same day and I can't seem to find a darn thing wrong with the fit and finish. I do think the sheetmetal is a little thinner, but that could be just the new design. I did notice the lack of vanity mirrors (never did use mine) and the trunk light. One other thing, I didn't get rear mats (I'm going to ask the dealer about that), had them in the 98. 5. I put the rubber ones in last night and good thing because it's snowing right now. This truck is bigger, I thought I'd have to use a shoe horn to get it into the garage. I have the floor stops that Gino used to sell and there was no more than an inch between the big butt of the new guy and the door. Guess an inch was all I needed. The cab is much nicer, the leather seats are more comfortable. I didn't use a tape just marked a piece of cardboard at the garage, so the measurement isn't very scientific, the new truck is about an inch and a half taller than the old one. I'm all of 5' 5" and it's pretty much of a mystery what is in the back if the tailgate is up. I loved the old truck dearly and I truely missed the old girl for nearly a mile.

I did not get the rear mats either! If the dealer will not get them, I understand that Gino's carry the factory mats that go across the entire rear floor.

I guess our trucks are cousins! What time was your truck finished? According to the data plate on the door, mine was completed on 10/05/02 at 10:00 AM.

Mine was made on 11/02/02 and shipped on the 5th of November. I guess that makes yours a bit older. I know one thing they didn't make this guy at Taco Bell. This truck is made better than any of my other ones. The 98. 5 was made well but had a lousy paint job. That was my last black truck, I like the color but impossible to keep clean. I have been driving this Silver Beast around in the rain and it has now dried and you can hardly tell it's dirty. I love this truck, I may call it Viagra.

My truck finally left Mexico. Arrived in Mesquite this morning, should be at dealer any day. It left Laredo Friday Nov. 22. David, have you heard anything on your truck, maybe it left with mine.

Hallelujah, I got a CSR who knew what she was doing. I got a rail car number as well. Looks like mine left Bergstrom, TX about 3 hours ago and should be to Illinois by the 28th, and heading to NY from there. .



I'll be very surprised if it's at the dealer's by 12/4, but who knows. . I have no idea how thanksgiving affects the railroads.

I ordered my dually on 9-30, today I called and was told it has a ship date of 11-27, but that he was highly doubtful that that could be true since the computer showed it was still on the assembly line. It is being built in Saltillo, the guy at DC said that if I saw the truck before the first of the year I would be lucky!!!



His guess was like ANOTHER 6-8 weeks



I need a new truck soon every time I turn around something seems to go wrong with my current one.



I'll call next week to see if it has gone to KZ

DC told me that I was in zone 31 (I live in Connecticut) and that it would take about 18 days after it was shipped to get to the dealership. Truck was shipped on the 5th and I took delivery on the 22nd. The big hold up seems to be at the border and when the box car goes from UPRR to another line. If you can get the car number you can track it on www.uprr.com. It's worth waiting for

I took delivery last night and all I can say to the guys that haven't taken delivery is it will be worth your wait. I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!! I like it so much I don't want to drive it, scared something will happen to it!!!hahaha
