I just got my #11 plate and KPD tab kit and can't wait to put them in, but would like an idea of how long to set aside to do this. Is it a couple hours (like after work?), or more like half a day (wait for the weekend?), or an all day drag it out kinda deal? Anything else I should tend to while doing these upgrades?

I have plenty of tools and a reasonable level of mechanical aptitude, just new to the bombing scene.

I would start your kdp project in the morning if you don't have another vehicle to drive. It will probably take something like 4 hours if you haven't done one before but you never know what problems can crop up. The fuel plate isn't a big deal, you could do that after work pretty easy.

Plan a day..

It does not hurt to plan a whole day for these, and also have a backup vehicle if something goes wrong. I just finnished my KDP tab today, it took me about three hours taking my time. The only thing I would change in the instructions is to drain a little antifreeze off the radiator, remove the top radiator hose, makes it much easier to remove and replace the fan and shroud.

Have a good dowell pin killing. :D

Yep, about 4 hours is what it took for my first KDP tab, the next one went quicker. The fuel plate is pretty quick, about an hour in and out. Do your front main seal when you do the KDP tab

I also spent about 4 hours on the KDP and about an hour on the fuel plate. I think I could do a KDP in two hours (including main seal and loctighting all bolds you can get to) now that I have done one. They are totally unrelated projects, so no reason to do them on the same day other than your own schedule.

plan on at least half to 3/4 of a day, the kdp kit will take the longest, but you should be able to do it.

This is pretty much a good rule of thumb just take your time and do it right and follow the instructions to a tee it is a pretty involved job doing the kdp but not to bad if you have all the right tools and if not I wouldn't even attempt to do it if you don't have the right tools :D:D:D

GOOD LUCK :-laf:-laf:-laf
