How long was your wait?

Here's a glimmer of hope for all of you in the Northeast waiting for your trucks to arrive. I ordered my truck on 2/28/2004. It took over a month to get D1 status, was KZ on 4/20, and arrived in Newark on the 5/20 boat. After it arrived in Newark, both D/C and the dealer are unable to track the vehicle. This Tuesday I got the call that the truck had arrived at the dealer, and I picked it up last night. Just a bit over 13 weeks.



I knew going in, based on what I read on TDR, that the wait would be around 12 weeks, so it wasn't that bad. I didn't get anxious until Tuesday when I knew it was at the dealer ready to be picked up.



Trust me, it's worth the wait

I'm actually OK at this point time-wise, just fretting something will go wrong and add a huge amount of delay. Not likely though. All the dealer has is my tiny deposit and I'm sure they want the big check.

Called my Dealer yesterday and spoke to the Manager today. They have contacted the port and are trying to get mine expedited. Apparently, the drivers "cherry pick" the trucks that are most local to NJ so they can log more deliveries. Maine is too far away (poor babies!) and the drivers don't want to haul. Mine is a sold order so if it isn't out of port by Monday I will start a campaign to get it!



What a pain! Ordered it 3-22 so I would be sure to have it by June. I have lots of work related driving coming up and need that vehicle!

My dealer kept telling me there was nothing he could do. I called DC support and got them involved. I don't know if it helped but 3 days later I had my truck.

Update: Just got off the phone with DC at the 1-800-992-1997

line. They say there is nothing they (she) said there is nothing they can do once the vehicle leaves the factory.



I was being a good, patient little boy until yesterday... ...

That's what Customer Support told me too. DC doesn't care about your truck, just your money.

Well, the money is still in my bank so I have control over that one very important thing. Sheesh. I'm sure that if/when it gets here I'll settle down.



I'm in Maine so summer only comes for one day. If it falls on a Sunday we have a picnic. Sure would be nice to drive to the picnic in my new truck!

My Baby is in the garage... Boy did that feel nice driving home. I actually can't wait to have to drive to work tomorrow morning. . Maybe I will have to leave early.

Good things I noticed...

It has wheel liners; maybe DC finally got their head screwed on straight.

It has clearance lights, which I did not think it would have.



Bad thing…. The breather does stink up the cab at idle.





I have a grin from ear to ear!!!

How in the hell did you get wheel well liners? Is my truck supposed to have them from the factory, or did your dealership install them for you?
