How bad did I screw up?

I have no idea why my pickup has wheel liners. The dealer did have my pickup for about 4 days before I took delivery, maybe they installed them. Mine was ordered 4-15, went D1 4-28, then was built mid May, who knows, maybe they are standard from DC now.

Happy to have them though:)

I certainly don't think they're standard fm DC. My truck came off the line 4/22, and it doesn't have them. Anyone else out there have them? I don't think it's right that they would start half way through the build year, nor do I think the bean counters would allow it. At any rate, glad you like your truck.

I picked mine up 6/1. That was an 11 week wait. DC is not putting wheel liners in. The dealer must have put them in. I ordered mine from the dealer the day I picked it up and installed them 2 days later.

Beats me! I'm trying to figure out how to insert a picture. I took a quick photo and zoomed in on the rear wheel wells and they appear to be there. I was so excited I forgot to look while I was there!

Well, the easiest way is to create an album, and then post a link to the picture. I don't know how people get the actual picture to post in threads (and I'm in the IT industry).

You guys aren't talking about that little sissy back splash thing (well... ok... NOT sissy) that keeps the mud from flying up into the tail lights are ya? My 600 has that but I can still see my springs. I like to see my springs. George

I can see the springs, it just lines the rear fender. Mine does have a pink doily on it though, so I guess it is sissy!

Yeah, that would answer it. Those aren't the wheel well liners I'm speaking of. The one's that cost $80, or whatever it is, fill in the whole wheel well so that mud doesn't go anywhere but back to the ground. I want them to keep rocks from flying up and making dings in my fenders, and IMO creating a spot for rust to start.

That sounds like what I have (the $80 liners. ) Maybe they are standard now.

This picture is a poor cut out but I think you can see them. When I get the truck Thursday I'll get a specific image of the wheel wells.

... . I officially give up trying to post a picture of the liners... .

Confirmed.

I must have had a brain fart, I just took a closer look. I have no liners, I thought that the rear guards were liners... .

Whoops...

Looks like mine came with liners. Maybe it is the Laramie thing. I almost pre-ordered them glad I didn't. :)

Mine's a Laramie and it did not have the full wheel liners. It only had the little short ones on the back. It would be nice if DC would supply them as standard, or even an ordered option. They're definately worth the $89 for the added protection, and they're simple and quick to put on.

I agree very much. Our trucks are not part of Chrysler's 'economy line' of vehicles. You don't have to be a great business man to know that if you nickle and dime your premium customers they will go somewhere else.

Having said that, I sure do like my new truck, at least the brief yet tender moment we spent together yesterday before I let the dealer take it back and continue the in-processing. :{

Greetings, I am but a few days away from receiving my new 600 and have been tracking it on DC's "Insight". However, for the last few days when I try and check the progress this is the message that pops up. .

"Dealer access is temporarily disabled due to security reasons. Please go to Dealer Connect to track vehicles. "

I know I checked often, but I doubt that I wore it out. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how long does it last?

I tried the dealer but he seem too busy selling $12999 Neon's to give a hoot about me... (sigh)

Thanks,

Trent
