Just wondering, the miles are starting to get up there (130k). I change my oil every 5k and give the turbo plenty of cool down time after hard runs.

Turbo Trucker!!!!!!!

Hey buddy I think you still have along way to go before your turbo goes... ..... I am at 139,000 miles and pull a 40' dual tandem gooseneck everyday. The empty weight on the trailer is 8000lbs... ... Hope this helps and good luck to ya!!!!!

I've got 108,000 on my heavily abused HX35. The compressor section is brown from heat (passed that pretty golden hue a LONG time ago :D ). This turbo has seen 43 psi daily for the last 40,000 miles and 35 psi daily for the 40,000 previous to that. Lots of towing, 400+ drag strip runs, etc.

Holset website (www.holset.co.uk) says the turbo should last for the life of the truck. I guess you'll have to figure out exactly what that means.

They also have excellent data on cooldowns, proper feeding of your turbo and service manuals.
