How long will it last?

I got 85,000+ on my 06. What is the longest anybody has run the DMF on an 06? I got 2 friends at work that replaced their at 65,000+-. Am I on borrowed time? Just kinda wondering if i should go ahead and replace it so I wont get stranded somewhere and have to pay out the wazoo.



Any suggestions?

I think he meant DPF, Diesel particulate filter. If I'm not mistaken...

Not on an '06. He's talking about the dual mass flywheel I believe.

Yes, dual mass flywheel. FASS will be installed next week. I run up to 8,000 miles per month. I dont want to be out of state when this dmf goes out or if it even will. Im putting the FASS on cause I know it is just a matter of time before the stock pump goes out. went thru 3 on my 04. 5.

DMF = Dual Mass Flywheel

You might want to look at this post, it has lots of discussion about the DMF and I put pictures on it showing an out of balance failure on a Dodge DMF. Watch for increased engine vibration.
