Ok, I've had the EZ for a year now and I'm ready to bump up the power after riding in JKloppe's truck (IT FLIES!!! :--) )

Obviously I'll be pushing my stock clutch pretty hard, if not beyond it's limits, but I don't haul anything other than a Sea-Doo Watercraft (1200 lbs max with trailer). I don't hot rod on the street so I won't be slipping the clutch constantly so how long can I expect the clutch to last?

Hey Mark

I have ordered the southbend con ofe from Piers for my Cummins , was doing 60 mph in 5th gear and romped er and  :{ the clutch she did spin, I have an EZ and 275's , all I know is once you spin er it sure dont take much after that !!!

my truck is a stud :D  :D

If you ease into the power and don't ROMP on it, it could last a long time. If it does slip, take it easy for a week or two and let the glazing wear off.

It is the sudden burst of torque that spins past the clutches.

That takes all the fun out of it :D.

With an EZ and BDII's, my clutch (which is weaker than yours ) Would not slip the least bit. Now that I have added a PE Comp to the mix, my clutch acts no better than a torque converter on it last leg.

I wouldn't worry about the clutch with just an EZ and DDII's. Even if you hotrod it a bit, it should be ok.

The 5spd clutch is way stronger than the 6spd clutch. Really, I don't see why you shouldn't get another couple more years of use out of it. Of course, depending on how many mile are on it now.

Hmm. . so it sounds like if I spin it, I'd better be breaking out the cash for a southbend. I keep my EZ on #2 though so perhaps that will act as an "idiot proof" limiter.

Actually my girlfriend races the truck more than I do while she is trying to pick up other guys in my truck! :D
