2500 over 3500

Thanks for the email Bob I really appeciate it :)

I drive a 2500

2500 vs 3500

I have a 2500. It is basically the same truck as the 3500 for lesss money, and I'm not wild about the dual wheels in the rear. Each to his own. Thats what makes the world go round.

I kind ok like this voting feature. How about: Color, Auto vs 5 sp vs 6 sp, 4WD vs 2 WD, Ford vs Dodge (stacking the deck), etc.

My last truck was a 2500 gasser, great truck, in spite of the engine. I now have a 3500 and also, great truck. It really depends on what you plan on using it for. If it will mostly be a daily driver and tow lighter loads, the 2500 is more than enough. If you plan on hauling a big 5th wheel, I'd choose the 3500. Just my $0. 02 .

Survey

I have the 2500. , and tow a 32' Sierra 5er. It has enough of everything I need. I'm satisfied. Besides, when it comes to buying tires, it's more fun buying 4 than 6.

'98 2500 with enough of the bells and whistles.

Why I chose a 2500!

I drive a 2500. I see now reason to have a 3500, unless I'm going to pull a big 5'ver or a huge camper with a slide.

:) I do like both though.

I miss my 3500. It looked more like a man's truck. Boosted one's ego. Surprisingly it rode better too.

Don't miss parking in narrow stalls, leaning over a wet fender to attach 5th wheel lanyard, standing on my head to air the inside tires or cleaning the wide fenders. Still

I have had 3 of each. There is a difference-5 wheel towing. You can have much higher hitch weights (mine puts 2800 lbs on the hitch and the transfer flow 98 gal tank adds another 1100 lbs)with the dualie and most important the truck tracks straighter with crosswinds and semi's going by. I would assume this is because of the wider rubber patch which results in less sidewall flex. :D

;) AH HA, it's just as I thought, cross over voters. More people voted for the 3500 as best looking but they are mostly driving 2500s. Do I smell a McCain movement here?

Because we move snow out of driveways in the city of Grand Rapids, our truck purchases are limited to 3/4 ton std cab, long box configurations. My dream truck is a 3500, but can't get those duallys to fit in some of our customers' drives. As it is I cringe whenever backing into a situation where there are lots of bushes and small trees along the drive. Raises he** with the finish and mirrors.

Ok,,Here's the real deal now,2500 or 3500,,The real reason these guys NEED the 3500 instead of the 2500 is so simple its staggering,,TRAINING WHEELS!!!!!!,,I mean, think about it,without them WHOOPS!!! over they go!!!! ,,he he he,,Now as my wife reads this standing here now, laughing tremendously at this crazy poll, she say she KNOWS why,,Claims it has to do with the old testosterone overload syndrome,,You know the one,My Truck Is Bigger Than Yours,,As she now leaves the computer desk, laughing her rear off,and mumbling something about us being warped,I am trying to valiantly defend our honor and losing badly I might add,,SHEESH... . No Respect... ...
