Mine was BA for a few days then it went to edit error status, I forget the two letter code, so we re-entered the order and the next day it came up D status.

I'm not saying you will have problems but keep in touch with your dealer to make sure your order is ok.

Good luck.

code BA

Thanks for the help. I did exactly what you said to do, call the dealer. It went from BA to BX, meaning they have every thing to build the truck in stock.

When your truck goes to D status you will have a VIN#.

Get that from your dealer, it comes as a print out with all of your trucks info: package, color, options and itemized prices on each piece of equipment. Very nice to have.

codes

Thanks again Steve. The TDR is like another site I belong to, it's the Cessna 180/185 web site. Any thing you want to know about 180/185 some one knows the answer to it. This is the first diesel truck that I will own. Just the few days that I have been with TDR I have already learned alot about the engine, transmission, and the pickup it self just by the members input. I think its a great site and all the TDR members and staff that contribute to the site ought to be commended, this is what makes the site so great. By the way, does anyone out thier fly and I don't mean 140 mph going down the high way 2 feet off the ground with your trucks, lol.

I have my license, but I am not current, use to fly 172s then gave it up for showing Quarter Horses, after 120 hours in the air and much money I learned I like my feet on the ground (or my horses feet).

Flying

Steve, I also have horses, not high priced, buckskin quarter and a arib. I own a cessna 180 for the last 16 years and enjoy the hell out of it but like you said it costs lots of money to fly. Maybe our paths will cross some day since we live so close to each other.

My wife always says I love my horses more than her, maybe. LOL.

Yep, WStrmiska, flyer here. Lots of time in T-draggers, mostly old C-140, Luscombe, T-crafts. Got a dream plane as my background photo on my desktop. C-185 on floats somewhere up north. When I find the right one, it will be at the home field. Wish I lived closer, we could share expenses.

Sorry

Hi group, I want to apologize for getting off the subject about are trucks, some times I get to carried away and loose sight of what I should be talking about. I know not every one wants to talk about airplanes and horses. It won't happen again.

Any one that wants to e-mail me and talk about airplanes and horses are welcome. My e-mail address is -- email address removed --

O. K. ,

My computer and connection are slow so I don't check the site as often as I would like but what the h__l! are you guys talking about with this "600"? I'll assume it's the 04 or 04. 5 ft. lbs. What is the horsepower and what RPMs on both?

Thanks

Were talking about the new 2004. 5 cummins w/325hp and "600" ft pounds of you know what, or do we need to spell it out for ya:D :D :D

All new #'s

I ordered mine last week. We need to wait and see what the real world changes are actually. VGT,EGR???????

Time will tell.

group buy

Damnit Tomeygun!! Where were you with this group buy idea a couple of months ago, when I was ready to buy?:{ .

Oh well, I guess I'll have to suggest it in the future when the 04 is near it's last journey. ;) So I guess that it will give you plenty of time to work the details out with your boss. Should be good for about $4000. 00 savings for each member in the group, eh?:D

Ive heard about the new 600 coming out but I havent heard any rock solid info about emission controls on it... does anyone know if they are using an EGR system or a plain old cat, or if we are lucky, just that the engine dont need any of them. Can someone please let me know whats up on it? ThanksOo.

Anyone get a build date yet?

I ordered 12/4 and was hoping to get in on a JAN build date. I called up Dodge today and just about fell off my chair when the lady told me I did not get in on Jan. build. She Told me my build would be in FEB. sometime. Has anyone else called and tried to find out about their build? Thanks in advanced.

Hey Bob (bish777), tomeygun said:

your VIN has been assigned and the truck is in "D" status - "subfirm" for builtdate of second week of january!!

in another post-you should call him! I just called and they said my 12/4 order was still scheduled for 1st week of January.

I'll call the dealer the lady at Dodge sounded unsure about what she was talking about! Maybe no panicing on my behalf was required.

Probably so-she initially told me the truck was in North Carolina on a railcar-I told her it was not ordered until 12/4 and it was my understanding that they were not being built until 1/04-she put me on hold, and came back and said that it was scheduled for the 1st week in Jan, which is what the dealer told me.

I'll believe it when I see it:

That picture is from the Dodge website build and price page-it reflects the color, and body style, but does not reflect options like the mirrors or the fog lights. It's very low quality. The best jpeg shots of the 3rd gens are found at the DC Media website.

I have a 5 MG Jpeg of a Red LWB 4x4 Dualie QC as my background-I have a 21" monitor so it looks good. Everybody asks "is that your new truck?", and I have to explain all the differences between that truck and mine.
