gene, why do you get so much smoke from the underneath of your truck, up front? I got it on video, just wonder'in if it's exhaust leak or blow off??? You can hear the turbo's spooling loudly, sounds awesome!

There is an inch pipe coming directly from the small turbos exhaust housing, exiting underneath the truck. Most guys plumb it back into th exhaust, but I like the effect!

Smoke and mirrors, ya know!;)

At the pulls, it is blowing off at 60-65 pounds, before I get out of the hole, and never lets off until I let off the throttle.

That gives you an idea how much air is moving-if you can open an 1" hole and STILL have 60+ # of boost.

Good, now I can rest. After all of that Mitchellization under your hood, I just couldn't sleep thinking that there was an exhaust leak :-laf Now all is well, little 1" blow-off valve pipe, stay strong :D

Oh blow off Matt!!! :D :D Just kidding, thanks for the external info. BTW, where might one find just such a wastegate rated at such high boost pressures?

Thanks,

The wastegates on this page are adjustable with replaceable springs, altering the signal pressure and preload. They react to boost pressure with a spring loaded diaphragm via a boost (and frequently vacuum) signal(s).

Taking these bad boys apart with a stiff spring is fun, but once you get the hang of it... it isn't tough.

These wastegates are all more than capable of doing what we need them for. Heck some of 'em will handle 8000rpm 1800hp turbo gasser V-6's... . so it should work for our 'flow' requirements.

BTW, a simple search on an internet search engine for "external wastegate" should yield more than enough stuff to read for a few hours.
