Just flipped 113. 000 this morning and still on original VP44 and LP (though that's about to change in a week :D). I just realized that from my last post on 01 OCT, I drove 2300 miles

129850 miles - About 80 % pulling heavy loads. Still running strong. Recently have pulled some long steep grades and hp seems to be like it was when new.

I drove my dad's truck a couple weeks ago... he has somewhere around 275k on the original VP44. Most of these are highway miles, probably 5% actually towing/working the truck.

You can definitely tell there is a power loss since new... he probably doesn't notice it because he drives it daily. I noticed it because I don't drive it but once every 6 months. It feels like going from a Geo to a 5. 0 Mustang when stepping out of his truck and into mine! I notice it lags power on hills he used to just power up.

I figure in the spring we will just replace both the VP44 and the injectors with new units as a preventative measure... they are wanting to start traveling some since they are now retired, and it would probably be best to start with some low mileage stuff!

Never thought we'd literally wear a VP44 out...

To the best of my knowledge mine still has the orginal VP at 118K and it might be the stock LP as well. PO didn't mention having replaced it.

Just installed FP gauge on Sat and it is pushing 12-13 PSI at idle, and at WOT around 7-8. Crusing it stays around 10

214,000 miles and still running strong on the original pump. I replaced the lift pump at about 100,000 but that's it. Stock engine still runs like new! Lot's of unloaded highway miles though.

110,000 miles on original VP but at least four lift pumps. Relocated last one on frame rail and it's lasted the longest.

Update: Just returned from a round trip to Maryland from Texas, via Indiana to pick up our horse. Truck is now at 117,800 miles and still all original.
