1984 Mercedes 300D opinions?

A random thought

otis

When I found the truck I liked , the trans. wasn't important. At least till the last one (wife can't drive a manual) and I usually just treat it like a big , smokin' attention gettin' car . :D

'95 reg cab auto 3. 54

'98 club cab 5spd 4. 10

'01. 5 quad cab auto 3. 55

I like the new one the best of the three. Other diesel include a '94 Isuzu p'up and an 80 VW Rabbit diesel.

I am on my 4th one.

94 5 spd. Regular cab 4x4

96 auto regular cab 4x4 (miss this truck)

98. 5 auto quad cab 4x4

2001 HO quad cab 4x4

just this one

This is the only CTD I've owned, and I intend that it be the only one I'll own for a long time to come.

Now, motorcycles, that's a different story! You can't have too many motorcycles, it's just not possible!

This is my first

But it's the 4th that I've been involved with:

'01 Ram 2500 4x4 QC (Mine)

'97 Fleetwood 36' Discovery Diesel Pusher Motorhome (Parents', had 275 hp 5. 9 ISB 12 valve in it)

'00 Fleetwood 39' Bounder Diesel Pusher Motorhome (Parents' had 275 hp 5. 9 ISB 24 valve in it)

Same '00 Fleetwood 39' Bounder Diesel Pusher Motorhome (on second engine, 275 hp 5. 9 ISB 24 valve)

ALL are, or have been, awesome. If it weren't for a hole in the oil pan on the '00 motorhome, it would still have the original engine. The current one has 30K miles on it. My truck... only 13K, hardly even broken in.

This engine in the motorhomes is amazing. The coach weighs in at about 25K loaded and hauls 9 of us in living room comfort, all while pulling a 6K lb vehicle/trailer combo and returns 11 mpg at 70 mph. The engine is mated to an Allison transmission and Rockwell axle.
