How many Cummins?

Just wondering if anyone knows how many Cummins equipted PUs Dodge has sold,or where to find out. Model year breakdown would be great also.

I saw something on the Cummins website about this.

I think it said 70% of all the Dodge 2500 and 3500 trucks last year had Cummins motors in them. there was more numbers there, but not model year = number of units.

I believe my dealer told me in 98 that Dodge and Cummins had a 5 year contract at that time where Cummins would supply either 20,000 engines per year to Dodge. Is that BS? Don't know but I'm sure there is a limit. I believe the number was 20,000 but wouldn't swear to it. That sounds low to me when I think about it. That's 400 per state.

Cummins shipped 116,000 24-valve turbo diesel engines to DaimlerChrysler for the 2000 model year Dodge Ram pickup. This represents a 20 percent increase over engine shipments for the 1999 model year.

The Dodge Ram was the fourth best-selling light vehicle in North America for the 1999 calendar year, according to Automotive News. Cummins 24-valve turbo diesel engines are offered in the 2500 and 3500 series Dodge Ram pickups and were the engine choice for more than 70 percent of those trucks for the 1999 model year. For all Dodge Ram pickups including the 1500 series, Cummins is found in more than 25 percent of those vehicles.
