Hey guys just curious, how many of you see other first generation trucks on the road. I was picking up horse feed the other day and realized that while tooling around Athens Georigia etc I very seldom see a first generation truck, like almost never. Even on a trip out west just dont see hardly any!Wonder how many sold and how many still on road. :)

Out here in the great northwest their all over the place. Don't get your hopes up buying one tho. The dealers have a waiting list for em.

In my area it is the same way. I see a lot on the roads. But they are not for sale. My brother in law traded a 91. 5 off on a 2002 the middle of last summer. It sold on the first day on the dealers lot.

I have had people come up and knock on the door wanting to buy mine.

Yup, same here, I've seen what seems like more and more in the last year or so, but very few for sale. A good one is almost impossible to find, especially at a fair price.

Bob.

I never really paid attention to how many 1st gens were around me here in Southern Indiana until I bought my truck Sept. 2001. I had to go to Ohio to get mine. I gave $4700 for it with a rebuilt transmission. The ones I see around here, when I see some bring from $6500 up. The Dodge dealer had one last year right after I bought mine with a flat bed on it and they got $10,300 for it. I have attached a pic of mine that I feel like I stole. Bill

We were over on Vancouver Island at the beginning of November and I noticed that on the stretch of highway that we travelled between Nanaimo and Campbell River there were a lot of first gen trucks on the road.

Interesting,Hardy ever see any around here. I mean wife and i go weeks and not see any. dealer near my house says hardly ever order parts for any, they don't even have shop manuals on them,Say never get them in. I worked for a moderate size dealer in Gainesville ga. We had 33 techs. Saw a lot of trucks but very seldom a first generation. I bought mine off our used car lot. It had 82,000 miles and paint was trying to peel on front of hood and tailgate. It sat a month on lot and I paid dirty whosesale for it. Talked DC rep in assistance back then on paint. Paid a 100. 00 deductable on a total clear coat paint job and 185. 00 to take all minor dents/dings out of it. See tons of second generation trucks and powerstrokes. Very few durawhats. Oo. Sure like your horse trailer,is it a livibg qtrs?Thats next on out list:)

Lots of them in CO, I know of probably more than 15 just here in Montrose. There are 2 on dealers lots right now, but the prices aren't exactly a steal. It took me 5 weeks to work the dealer I bought mine from last year to where I didn't feel like I was getting bent too far over.

None Here Either

No problem with looking like all the other trucks out there. ;) Everyone knows it's me that way. It is very unusual to see another one in my area. I know of one other in the area, same as mine but regular cab. There are some second gens around, and a friend has a 1st gen Cummins in his Chevy crew cab.

Nice truck for a nice price, farmall.

I've only seen one other 1st gen CTD in my town. It belongs to the owner of B&G auto repair. The truck is a '93 W250 reg cab LE.

Aside from the two I have, there are four others in my area. A 89 D350 car hauler, 93 D350 ext cab, 91 W250 and an 89 W250. After I bought mine, one of my friends bought the 91 and another bought the 89 4x4. A couple of guys are interested in getting one like mine and I told them they're out there, but hard to find.

There are several in my area. See most of them at sale barns with livestock trailers on them. At one I've been hauling out of, there's a 2nd gen. dually with almost 300k on it and has a triple axle Aluma-line in tow. :)

There's a fair number of first-gens around here - most of them pulling horse trailers and doing other farm chores. Almost never see one for sale, tho.

But we're definitely in the minority. Lots of big curvy things running around.

Up here in northern Alberta, there are quite a few first genners running around. In all kind of conditions. I own one, my father owns two . I have a friend who just bought one. You seem to see more around in the summer pulling holiday trailers, horse trailers.

As I stated I very seldom see one. There is a w250 standard cab silver i see from time to time looks clean until you get to the rear and back bumper is bent all into tailgate and rt rear corner is flat. Anyhow i keep finding people staring at mine and sometimes wife and i catch folks walking around it looking. Like at walmart etc. Did'nt notice this until the last year or so. See tons of 2nd generations all over.
