This thread is about light bulbs (or lamps, if you prefer). What do grid heaters have to do with it??? I'm calling a thread hijack!!!! #@$%! ;) :-laf

Rusty

Hey dude it's my thread, I'll take it anywhere I want :-{}

Yea, I apologize, perhaps I overreacted. I'm just a little on edge because I've come to realize in true TDR fashion I've taken thread hyjacking so far as to hyjack my own thread. Perhaps I am the master..... bow to me young Jedi

I hope everyone's changed out their winter bulbs for summer bulbs by now...

I'm sooo glad you posted on this! I had purchased my summer bulbs over a month ago, and simply forgot to swap them! Geez, do I feel dumb! :rolleyes:

Suffice to say they're done now, and worth every dollar over the cost of the winter ones.

Question: Does anyone know if I can re-use my winter bulbs? The guy at the store said they were dangerous to reinstall, and that he'd only charge me $20 to take all of them to dispose of properly. I think he's trying to take advantage of my ignorance, and am thinking I should give him no more than $10.

Thanks for all the help! :)

Silly Rabbit, if you used the latest "DIMMER" from Electrolux (sucks more juice right of your wires!) they would last forever + one day (approved by Congress, Judges, Governors, and Presidents everywhere!!).

But, has California approved it yet. They ARE the last word, you know. :-laf

Just over 4 years. About time to dig this one up again.

Pretty soon we won't be allowed to choose what type of light bulbs we use! Stock up while you can!

I'd say it takes all of them to change the bulb. Some will change it because they're cantankerous, some because they don't like the power consumption, some because the bulb doesn't look right, some because they want the room brighter, and some because they want the room dimmer. But most will change it because they're bored; they've got their trucks in like-new condition and can't find anything else that needs to be BOMBed.

Herculiner on the hootus? Always good for a chuckle.
