How Many Grease Fittings on 06 MC4x4

Does anyone know how many grease fittings are on an 06 Mega Cab 4x4 TD?



I have read some post that tell about how difficult it is to find the one on the front drive shart and the special grease needle you need but never found anything that told me how any and where.

My 03 only has two, and thier for the outer tie rods.

You most likely have 3 , two on the tie rod ends and the front driveshaft cv

joint fitting.

should have 3. hard to find the one on the drive line. i was told by the shop 06 did not have one but there is and i found it. takes a 16 gage (. 75 mil) nozzel on a flex grease gun hose. got one from napa and then rounded the tip to fit in better. read all about it on carsondodge.com

Should be a sticker under the hood, near the radiator, that says "every oil change".

I found 2 zerks on the tie rods and the needle type on the front CV. I hit them all 1st of every month when I am doing tire air pressure checks, general fluid checks (brake, rad, and wiper) rubber boots, hydrauic lines, etc. I try to give the truck a monthly inspection for misc stuff and it is easy to touch up the grease fittings at that time. Otherwise, the front CV is supposed to be done at 3700 mi the first time and then with your oil changes after that, think it's the sched B maintenance. I only average around 1K per month driving, but live on a sparsely graveled road with some 4WD time monthly, just thought it would be better to be a little more maintenance and safety oriented by doing this stuff monthly. You would be very suprised as to how many little things you catch and can fix inexpensively that could lead to bigger repair costs downline.
