This year (and for that last 3 years) I put up around 10 strands of icycle lights and 10 additional strands of multi-colored lights. What did you put up this year?
My future son-in-law came and hung the star on the second floor peak, but it snowed before I could get up there and hook it up, so I guess we won't have any lights this year. No tree either. We decided to get a big Christmas cactus instead.
had a pic of last years, I have 6 strings hung from the top of our chimney mount to the ground spread out to a tree shape, then 4 or 5 strings around the front edge ans lower edge and mini lights aound the lawn with candy canes holding up the lights. a doe and a buck frame with lights and a sleigh with Fake presents in it. some more minis around a couple of trees and a plastic santa on the portch. . Very nice if I do sayso. not the grizwalds but good... lol
Absolutely NONE! A first for me. (and I like it ) I put up about 8 strands of icicles one year. I used the shotrest staples possible to make them easy to remove. The wind busted so many bulbs, after xmas was over I ripped em all down and threw them away. Glad to not have to do THAT stuff anymore.
How about running strands off the top of my dad's 40' Ham tower in the shape of a tree? If we ever find enough lights, we may do it.
How many of you throw out your lights right after x-mas and buy new ones each year after they go on sale in early January? It's amazing how cheap they are! That way, you don't have to fight with the strands that somehow get tangled together even though you put them away neatly Also, you don't have to worry about looking for the ONE bulb that doesn't work, thus making the whole strand not work
