I never see anyone driving the same truck that I drive. I am sure that part of the reason is that most buy the 3500 quad cab 4x4, since it only costs a couple of grand more. I was just wondering if there were many members that had the great taste that I seem to have ;) :-laf

My brother and I were discussing this exact thing today. In my city you CANNOT get a manual or a regular cab without ordering or doing a dealer swap. I have one regular cab that's the "work truck" and one quad that's a "tow/daily driver". I will say that the regular cab has about 3 times the storage space that my 97 Ford had.

Got a rearer one

My dad gots a 92 reg cab 4x4 5 sp I have only seen a hand full of them and a hand full of 2nd gens t. I guess every body wants that extra space, but I guess if you have never had the extra space you dant miss it:D Justin

Agree!!

Have to agree with the above post. Never had an extended cab until the truck before this one. Said I would never get a regular cab again. That extra space is so nice to put stuff you want at your disposal, coats, coolers, sandwiches, (not mother in laws, they go in the bed), the space is nice. Nothing against regular cabs, just a personal preference. Regualr cab 3500's do have that nasty "don't mess with me" look!!

I am reg cab 2500 and I had to order it to get it. I felt like it was my personal stand against making pickup trucks suv thingies. I can see the other side I do kinda wish I had the storage but I love my truck

It was that look that first drew me to the Dodge. I had a 2000 3500QC 4x4, liked it but never used the back seat and it would not fit in my garage, like the Regular cab does (by about 2 inches). Because of that the 2000 got hailed on causing $3300 in damage. I do like the fact that driving the 3500 Regular cab 4x4 I don't pass myself on the road very often, and they do look bad to the bone

Thats what I like

I have a 2wd reg cab 3500 and I dont see many of them either. Bitbull said it " I dont like passing my self that often" that is so true, hardly never see one like I drive, and if I do we are both looking at eatch other and thinking "Is that what my truck looks like going down the road and a big thumbs up to eatch other";) and keep on cruzing. Justin

Bought mine off the lot

If by regular cab, you mean cab & chassis that is. I have a bad habit of cab trashing, so I figured that i'd just rather have a 10 foot bed. I took used a used SWR utility body, cut it apart ,stretched it and wound up with a 62''wide bed that is 108''long. A 32 gallon off road tank completes the package

I have the most comfortable and UGLY running boards that I also made. She weighs 9960 empty

And it's rated to pull and haul more weight than a QC!!!

I have a 2500 and a 3500 reg. cab. Like em both. Had a GMC extended cab and discovered the extended part just was a catch all for junk!!

But to each his own. If you need the room, get it.

mines not a 4x4 but not too many have one like mine either... it sits up high enough to look like it is. and there are almost NONE with STACKS in KC... . LOL :D

I love the way the regular cabs look, they are rare anymore. When I bought my truck, the future wife said "You better get a bigger cab" I was just happy to have her support so I got the quad. I have had 6 regular cab Fords, 1 crewcab Ford, and now this quad cab that is the perfect blend for what I need... ... ... ..... to haul more junk around.

Mine sat at the used car dealer almost 1 month before I got it. Dealer said people looked but didnt want standard cab or 6 speed. Dont get good luck often but was lucky with this truck. After reading posts today luck continues, has Mexican motor.

But have seen 2 other trucks like mine in this little town, even the same color. But standard cab still stands out:cool: and doesnt look like girlie truck:-laf

That was the deal with my '97. I was headed over to Houston for meetings and spotted the white reg. cab 2500 sitting on the lot at Rosenberg Dodge. Stopped by on the way back thru when they were closed and checked the sticker. It had set on their lot for almost 6 months. Called em the next day, told em what I'd give and they jumped on it with both feet!!. They were glad to get rid of it. Everyone wants a QC and they got the reg cab in by mistake I guess. Anyway I was happy as a clam to get it and pleased with it ever since.

ProZack, what color? Mines Red :D Did the Black Dzee diamond plate bedrail trim with the black Linex sprayin bed liner and added the Bilstein shocks. That's all so far. Want to add a DZEE black diamond plate under the rail tool box for more storage room. I do think that the Regular cab has a lot of storage room behind the seats. I wish I had the money to go with the Rickson 19. 5 aluminum wheels, that would look bad to the bone. ;)

PitBull, my truck is silver with black trim and I have a diamond plate toolbox and diamond plate on the mud flaps. I am working on a lid for the bed that will be diamond plate on top width a rail and mount behind the toolbox. I agree about the wheels, they are on my list. Trouble is my toy list is almost the same as my net worth. Thanks for the link to fritzs page, you were right my truck was made in Lago.

All of my previous trucks had r/c. That's most of the reason I got a club-cab, ROOM. It's niiiiiccce. :)

Pit - Mine is not a 3500 but it has enough options to make it close to one. I had to special order mine ( Regular Cab ) and the dealer could not understand why I wanted a Reg. Cab when I could offord a loaded Quad Cab. They did not want a Reg. Cab on the lot unless it was a Cab Chassis or totally stripped model until they got several folks who looked at my truck the day it came in. After that , a few months later , that dealer ordered three Reg. Cab trucks that were loaded w/ leather and all sold fairly quickly. The sales manager could not believe that people were still interested in Reg. Cab trucks.

I drove a GMC K-3500 Crew Cab Dually for years and I don't miss the turning radious at all .

IMHO the Dodge 4x4 Regular Cab is one FINE looking truck SRW or DRW !
