Automatics Are Better ???????

FUEL ADDITIVES: Emulsifier, Demulsifier or Other?

Ok guys, I'd like to know how many members here on the board are running 1st Gen trucks.

I asked TDR but they do not track that kind of info, which is ok.

So... I need to do a poll.

I'd like to know the rough percentage of 1st vs. 2nd Gen owners.

Thanks for taking part

Got my hand in the air, Bob. :) Good question but there will be some guys that won't respond. Seems to be a lot of people that look and read but don't participate in the Forums for whatever reason.

I bought mine in January of '93 and haven't stopped working to improve it's performance. I bought it to tow when I retire and that's less than 2 years away. My last "job" was the installation of a set of Carbomet pads on the front. :)

Happy trails

Bob

Hey guys, thanks for responding. If you come across anyone else encourage them to drop in and be counted for me will ya.

I gotta plan..... well, an idea... . sorta. .

Bob.

count me in, I have had 12 first gens, parted out 6, sold a 89 and its being shipped to Florida to be made into a ramcharger, a 93 clubcab just sold and went to Tucson to be rebuilt. 93 W250 being parted out right now, still have 3 running trucks, 93 club d250 bought brand new For Sale, 89 d250, and a 91 Diesel Ramcharger

I love them, cant see myself getting anything else. :) :)

the oldest truck in our fleet is a 92. drove it today with about 6000 on the rear. not fast, but after 435000 it was good to be with my old freind again.

My father has over 320K miles on his 92 & says he doesn't need to buy another truck. The men who fenced our property had a 91

with 630K miles on it (all original except water pump, & alt. ) & said they will not replace a perfect truck.

I thought thats all there was, was First Gens. I must not be keeping up with the times? Because I own a 92 club cab D350 But I have been living in the fast lane, dose that count?????????

78repower', Wayno, it all counts guys :D

I appreciate your "being counted". Don't forget to encourage any others to drop in and add their names for me please...

Muchas Gracias ?

Thanks ;)

So far I'm likin' it a lot. :D

Sounds like a cool truck. Is is custom stretched, or a factory club cab? Got any pics? Oh, welcome to the board too. :D

Here's mine!

I've been wanting to send a picture for some time. Now that I have a camera, I can't put it off any more.

I've been getting -I guess- jaded with my rig. The ride bothers me sometimes, I miss shifting, and I gotta have a back seat. I'm in one of those dilemmas where "do I want to sink a whole lotta loot into this thing, or should I just get what I REALLY want this time?" I have to say, a good long ride will reignite good feelings about this truck. It has always seemed that the more you hammered it, the better it runs. I normally do city commuting with short highway blasts. This past week I got called for Federal court Jury duty. This entailed two 140 mile round trips into Long Island. My Wife wanted me to use our/ Her Durango, but I said NO. I knew the blue truck will be fine. I just checked it out good, like I normally do before any trip and I let 'er rip. I haven't clocked fuel mileage in a dog's age and it didn't disappoint, makes the Durango seem really bad. Someday I might have to buckle in for a 215 HP '96 Club Cab, but for now I'll be OK.

Bought mine in May 1992. Other than the Getrag growling, she now runs stronger than in 1992. :D :D
