215,000 on the clock. Original motor no problems, replaced turbo, injectors, lines due to gas station misshap. Replaced lift pump last year, original transmission and pumpkins. Added additional transmission cooler and a P/S cooler on the return while replacing hydroboost last summer.

205K, having installed only 215 injectors and sliding the stock plate forward. Engine's never required major service.

I recently applied some hilljack engineering to the oil filler tube. According to Garmon, when these engines wear enough and start generating enough blow-by, the stock crankcase ventilator tube is way too small; pressure builds up the the bottom end and prevents oil from draining into the pan, resulting in that oil leaking out of the engine. So I took his suggestion and added some PCV parts to the oil filler tube. I'll know after Houston and SEMA if it has reduced my oil consumption.

Of course, if you change your oil every 3K miles, you'll never notice the extra oil usage. Since I'm using Amsoil lube and bypass filtration, I haven't drained the oil since I switched over at around 60K miles: I definitely notice the extra oil lossage.

1990 250D, approx 380,000 miles (bought used with broken odometer that read 350,000, ran 10,000, put in used odometer reading 60,000, now reads 80,000). Stock except for addition of Franz bypass filter. Runs nicely. Doesn't consume oil. 5-speed, 2wd.

The pullin truck had 564,000 on it when I pulled the motor. Guy I bought it off of said it had a new 5. 9 put in at 500,000.

My daily driver has 280,000 on it with original engine and new trans.

239,000. No rebuild on anything. Not much seems to wear out or break with the exception of front steering and suspension parts... and I change those as often as the oil (only a slight exaggeration). :)

Just turned 192,000 - original engine and re-built trans. Used for landscaping and plowing.

The front - end needs more attention than anything elses, track bars every couple months!! - Oil pan is rotten, thats the next fix.

My 1997 has 132,500 on it, with AFE intake, MPRB 4" Exhaust and turned up pump, starwheel / fuel plate advance.

Track bar, ball joints, rear pinion seal, 1 set brakes, and 1 fuel control rod.

Other than that, runs great.

Those with manuals - when does the stock clutch tend to start slipping?

Thanks,

Luke

Clutch Question

Hi Luke

I have 210,000 on my 1996 Dodge w/ no problems and/or slipping on the original clutch.

Keep on trucking and enjoy

Leons .

1998 3500 with 166K. Replaced/rebuilt transmission (ATS), torque converter, air filter (BHAF), Turbo replaced, Valve springs (for exhaust brake), ball joints, track bar, front brake rotors, brake lines, rear wheel cylinders (gmc now). Swapped 3. 54s l. s. out for 4. 10 l. s. replaced front axle seals, rear pinion seal. Class 4 trailer hitch changed out for Class 5. Almost forgot the KDP done.

Still original engine, interior (no cracks) side of driver's seat replaced. Truck kept in the garage so the red paint looks almost new :D

Did I cover everything? Maybe too much
