1995, 244000mi, top-end rebuild at 219K:

I had the seep above thermostat so I went ahead and pulled the head. My cousin owns a machine shop and he rebuilt the head (only minor stuff): machined 0. 007, new valves, 60# valve springs, cometic head gasket, 12mm ARP studs etc.

1996, 330,000 miles, engine is STRONG, but head gasket seeps. Ugly truck, no rust, just rough as a cob. Bombed a little, and on it;s 3 rd trans.

1996 Auto 3500 Dually. 289,000 miles, Ball Joints and Brakes. Thats it.

Never touched the engine on Trans, and it pulls trailers all the time. Stock

2001 6 Speed HO. I think it is yellow under the red paint.

$9500 for a new engine at 190,000, $2600 for a rework on the trans at 250,000, Lifts pumps like changing underwear, TPS, etc. New brake rotors all the time, and who in the hell designed a rear park brake shoe that you had to PULL THE AXLES to change brake shoes!

It has 297,000 miles on it today, all stock, and hopefully it is good for at least another 100,000 + miles.

I think my next will be a 98 back, or 03 up.

My 95 only has 50,000 on it and I though that was high

I change the oil every 3,000 miles or once a year. Its a one ton chassie with a motor home on it. I plan on driving it for a long time. Did have the timming pin repaired and the transmission beefed up and a 3 stage tourque converter installed which made a big difference. It sits in a heated garage ready for the next trip. O yes just installed new batterys. She waxed and clean up so she looks nice. <a href="http://s205.photobucket.com/albums/bb69/KMStewart2007/?action=view&current=Bestmotorhomeside.jpg" target="_blank">#ad

I have over 507,000 miles on mine right now and take it on 1000 mile trips at the drop of a hat. I use dino oil and leak out about 1/2 quart between oil changes. Engine has never been into and have only had minor things happen... 3rd fan clutch, alternator about a month ago, Front end galore, one A/C clutch and need to do the KDP repair with a new housing cause that is where my leak is. Guess I am just lazy but just got out of the hospital a couple weeks ago from major surgery, so I am just taking it easy right now.

225,087. Rotella dino and filter every 5k miles. Still going strong and still gets 12-22 mpg (12 running 70-75 towing, and best of 22 in town).
