Started BOMBing the engine @ ~175k miles (outside of BHAF and 5" exhaust, did that almost right away at 140k when I bought the truck). At 215k now. Motor has never been opened up. Still stock HG as well.
353. 000 1994 3500 Replaced auto @28,000 broken line. Replaced dually bed @220,000 Works everyday in construction . Needs paint. Love this truck. Just drove to Galvestion from Nor-cal and back. Perfect trip, no hiccups.
Today the clock reads 770,370, it is about 3% slow so I guess it's over 800. 000. Had J & H performance replace gaskets due to oil leakage at 580k. had it bombed slightley at that time, better late than never. When replacing the head gasket due to seepage around the thermostat area there was'nt any noticeable ring wear, still had factory hone marks in the bores. original injectors. it's been 5,000 miles since the last oil change and it's right up to the top. I have replaced many parts most'ly Dodge sometimes more than once. The way it is running I believe it will make a million, then I will start lookin for a replacement motor. Stormy
Can't get wife to go on to many trips. We are going to SD for a Glidden Tour in Sept. That should be good for her pulling the car trailer with the 33 Ford coupe in the trailer. Lets see if I can post a picture of her?
bought mine stock at 304k miles with a seeping head gasket by the thermostat, fixed that around 309k and am at 315k now with the mods in the sig done over the corse of the time that i have had it
My truck was bone stock when I got it, 244K. Has 258 now with the mods listed in my sig. I replaced the lift pump at 255K because it was a little weak, but I have no doubt the demand of the extra fuel is what killed it.
I must have missed something in this post up front.
I thought stock meant STOCK,no mods,no changes all factory original. With that now corrected I am fairly certain that not too many of our trucks fit that bill... ... ... . Andy
BTW. .
Mine lost its "stock" description around 20,000 miles and it has never looked back.
